09:58 pm Damn, my apartment is a little drafty when it's windy and cold outside. I can actually feel the breeze sometimes from my window next to my sofa. Brrrr... too bad it's cold in california now too. Maybe I should go to Miami or the bahamas or something.

01:22 am Wow, I'm partially red-colorblind.
http://home.sc.rr.com/mikebennett/colorblind.html
I always knew I was likely very slightly colorblind cause I never knew the walls in my house were pink, but most of the colorblindness tests I'd taken were only testing the overall colorblindness, not stuff as specific as this test did.

08:27 pm how did I manage to fuck this up so badly? I hate ticketmaster. I thought I bought 6 tickets to the radio city music xmas show for December 26, but I was just cleaning up my kitchen and looked at the tickets on my counter and noticed they said Nov. 26 which is today. For the 8:30 pm show. Too bad I don't have a teleporter to get there and scalp them to make some of my money back. These were orch level too. I bought them like 2 months ago. How the hell am I gonna get 6 new tickets for the right show? wow, they actually still have some available. For about $10 more per ticket than I paid before. My family better fucking like it.

02:13 am Back in CA for a couple days. It's slightly unnerving how foreign this place feels considering I lived here for 18 months. I did miss my work friends though and I'm glad to see them again. We went out drinking tonight. Even a couple of the guys from Phoenix are here. I'm really tired now though. Good thing this wireless at the hotel sucks so much I don't want to do much more on the net.
p.s. according to the news here, today is the 50th anniversary of the Hard Drive. The first one cost $10,000 and was made by IBM. I missed how much it stored if they even mentioned it.
p.p.s I'm a geek and I know it.
p.p.p.s. Yo Kim! Dinner wed, thurs, or fri? I just have to be at SFO by 8:30 friday night.

05:57 pm - white castle mmm... white castle is always better from the source instead of the frozen foods section at the store, even if the restaurants was kinda ghetto. It was worth the drive. Not good for my diet though. It's definitely summertime here today. The tops of the buildings in philly were barely visible when I was driving back. Lots of humidity and 95ish. OK, back to work unpacking.

11:20 pm That was a fun Phillies game. Weirdest first inning I've ever seen. Pedro Martinez was definitely not having a good night. He loaded up the bases with a walk, then hit a batter to bring in a run, then balked to bring in another run. After all that we got an almost triple (he got out at third) so another 3 runs, plus the original RBI and that made it 6-0 after 1. Later in the game there were back-to-back homers. I've never seen the liberty bell ring so much :-) Oh, and my friend that I went with got on the Jumbotron in the first inning. She was on the edge of it so I didn't get on it. We had fun.

02:02 am there's this bird somewhere that seriously needs to die. it sings from midnight till about 3am every night. it has like 100 different songs so it's constantly changing and never seems to repeat. if it repeated I could ignore it more easily. god I can't wait to move next weekend. then all I have for noise is the train which I'm used to, and motorcycles on weekends. no more uphill broken muffler cars right outside my bedroom windows which don't shut worth a shit. Current Mood: aggravated Current Music: i hate sf

MICROSOFT founder Bill Gates, the world's richest man, said today the tax office in the US has to store his financial data on a special computer because his fortune is so vast.
"My tax return in the United States has to be kept on a special computer because their normal computers can't deal with the numbers," he said at a Microsoft conference held in Lisbon.

10:32 pm Why do they let people who can't read a map or tell time drive delivery vehicles? I've been waiting all day for my lost luggage and they keep teasing me into thinking it's gonna be here soon. After I've called them like 3 times this morning they said it would be between 9:30am and 2:30pm. So I called at 3 and they called back at 3:30 and said it would be between 5 and 10pm. So at 10 they call and say the driver is in the area but is having trouble finding my apartment from the address I gave. So tell them how to get here and then I go sit outside waiting to wave the guy down when he gets here and is still lost. 30 minutes later I go back inside defeated. If they can't find me tonight I'm gonna tell them to just leave it at the airport and I'll come get it on my way to work.
I expect tomorrow to be the same cause I finally bought a new mattress today and it's supposed to be delivered tomorrow. Last time I bought furniture it took till like 9pm for a 9am scheduled delivery.
